Robert Ohle Herder Jr., known by his friends and family as "Jay" passed away on April 24, 2022.

He was born to Robert Ohle Herder Sr. and Vivian Herder in Baltimore MD, on November 15, 1949. He grew up in Severna Park, attending Severn school, Severna Park High School and Anne Arundel Community College. Jay joined the Navy in August of 1970 and served in Vietnam until July of 1974. He married the love of his life, Patricia, in November of 1999 and built his family in Arnold, MD.

Jay was president of Rubber Millers Inc. and worked in the rubber manufacturing field for many years. He was a member of American Legion Post #175. He was also an avid stamp and coin collector and loved to play with the stocks. Most of his time was spent loving his family and playing video games and Hot Wheels with his grandson TyCo. Jay loved to reminisce with his friends and family about times past.

Jay is preceded in death by his father, Robert Ohle Herder Sr., and mother Vivian Herder. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Patricia Herder of Arnold MD; his sister Joan Herder of Laurel MD; his son David Arbogast Jr. of Arnold MD; his daughter Kimberly Belt (Frederick) of Arnold MD; and his grandson Tyler Cole Pezutti of Arnold MD.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 3-6pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD, 21146. A funeral service will be held at 6:00pm at the funeral home. Interment is private.
