Robert (Bob) Leroy Molder, 72, a resident of Severna Park, passed away on June 16, 2017 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

He was born on September 28, 1944 in Shelby, Ohio to Harold L. Molder and Dorothy C. (Yosick) Molder, and was raised in Crestline, Ohio. Bob enlisted in the United States Air Force at age 17 and later obtained a BA in Psychology and Sociology from Regents College in NY. He married Pauline Rickarby on November 16, 1968. He traveled extensively while in the USAF, including a tour of duty in Vietnam.

His military awards include the Distinguished Flying Cross, Meritorious Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Air Medal, AF Commendation Medal, AF Good Conduct Medal, and many other Air Force service awards.

Bob retired after 27 years in the USAF, then worked for 19 years in local government. He was still working as a contractor at the time of his passing.

Bob was a devoted family man who loved golf, crossword puzzles, trivia, family game night, and travel. He was a faithful member of St. John's Evangelist Church serving on various committees and as a Eucharist Minister.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pauline Molder of Severna Park, MD; sister, Anita Wrigley of Severna Park, MD; three daughters, Karen Linzey (Jeff) of Severna Park, MD; Katherine Brenner (Troy) of Fallston, MD, and Naomi Molder of Severna Park, MD; one son, Mija Molder of Severna Park, MD; granddaughters, Clara Linzey and Emma Linzey, both of Severna Park, MD; and grandson and granddaughter, Liam Brenner and Layla Brenner, both of Fallston, MD. He is also survived by many other relatives throughout the United States and England.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 12:00 pm in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be private in Maryland Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
