Robert J. McClure, 91, of Millersville Maryland passed away at home on December 6, 2012. Born in Hackensack, New Jersey to Edward T. and Geneviev(Zimmerman) McClure,

Bob enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and retired, 30 years later, as a lieutenant colonel in 1970. He served in the WWII Pacific Theatre, the Korean war and the Vietnam war. Bob enjoyed a second career in executive positions with New England Toyota Distributor in Lowell, Massachusetts, Mid-Atlantic Toyota Distributor in Baltimore, Maryland, and American Isuzu Motors Incorporated in Los Angeles, California. He retired as Vice President of Parts and Service for American Isuzu in 1987.

Bob is survived by his wife of 32 years, Dolly (Dolores Barlow), with whom he thoroughly enjoyed corporate and retired life in Southern California, as well as by Dolly's daughter and son, Harriet Parks McCann of Severna Park and Zeke Parks of Baltimore and their children. He is also survived by his first wife, Shirley Harper McClure of San Diego, California; their children: Gayle Hazel of San Diego, Peter McClure of Preble, New York, William McClure of Arcata, California, Robert McClure of Eureka, California; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.


A Memorial gathering will take place on Sunday December 9, 2012 from 2-5:00pm at the Barranco & Sons,P.A Severna Park Funeral Home 495 Ritchie Highway Severna Park, MD 21146. A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated on Monday December 10, 2012 at 10:00am in the St. John Roman Catholic Church 689 Ritchie Highway Severna Park, MD 21146. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
