Robert L. Wright, 72, a 27 year resident of Severna Park, died suddenly on January 28, 2010 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, due to heart failure.

He was born on April 24, 1937 in Gainesville, GA and raised in Atlanta. He lived in various duty stations in the U.S. Navy and had lived in Arnold for 13 years prior to moving to Severna Park.

Mr. Wright retired from the U.S. Navy in 1975. He also retired from the Naval Academy as foreman in Shipmen Galley and Public Works.

In addition to being retired from the U.S. Navy, he was a member of the Disabled Veterans Association, Past State Commander, and member of A.A.
He enjoyed golfing and watching football.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce C. Wright of Severna Park, MD; daughter, Lillian L. Brouillard of Mount Airy, MD; sons, James I. Wright of Dandridge, TN and Bill Wright of Severna Park, MD; sister, Maryann King of Gulfport, FL; grandson, Tom Brouillard of Baton Rouge, LA; granddaughter, Joy Wright of Gambrills, MD; grandson, Kenny Brouillard of Brooklyn Park, MD; grandson, Ben Wright of Jessup, MD; and two great grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday, January 31, 2010 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 1, 2010 at 12:30 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD.
