IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert V.
Hull
January 27, 1956 – June 9, 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of Robert V. Hull announces his passing after a brief illness, on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the age of 62 years. Robert will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend of 32 years, Janet and their four sons, Matthew (Barbara), Miles (Katt), Nathan (Wendy), and Alex. He will be greatly missed by his mother, Jeanene Engell, his sisters and brothers, Barbara, Bradley (Vicki), Brett (Mary-Martha), Bonnie (Todd), Belinda (Mike), Juanita and Michelle and his granddaughter, Mirabel. Robert will also be remembered fondly by numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and dear friends.
Robert was a resident of Maryland for the last 31 years and worked as a school psychologist for the Maryland State Department of Education and for Prince Georges County Public Schools. Robert graduated cum laude from Arizona State University with a degree in psychology, and obtained graduate degrees in education and public health from Arizona State University, Memphis State University, and Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. He was a member of the Advisory Council for The Attachment & Trauma Network (STN) and was a passionate advocate for trauma sensitive schools.
Robert loved to play hard, and enjoyed time with family and friends. He was a youth sport coach for more than 20 years and provided young people with the opportunity to develop confidence and friendships. He had a passion for gardening and loved to watch all the beautiful birds that stopped by. If you visited him, a tour of his garden was a must, to see the newest bloom or plant. He loved "his spot' in the world; his home, his garden and his life and he will be truly, and deeply missed.
A memorial service in memory of Robert will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Barlowe Field, 490 Chalet Drive, Millersville Md 21108. The memorial service will be followed by fellowship and activities. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Robert to the Attachment and Trauma Network (
