Robert "Rob" Holland died unexpectedly on July 31, 2024.  He was 68 years old.  Rob and his beloved wife Kathleen "Kathy" Holland (Burton) fully enjoyed living in the Whitehurst neighborhood in Severna Park for many years.

Rob graduated from Atholton High School and after completing an electrician's apprenticeship program with IBEW Local 24, he went on to become a master electrician working over 40 years with the union.  He was a proud and devoted member of the union and well-known for his expertise and skills.  He worked on many projects locally not the least of which was the building of Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

For many years Rob was an avid boater on the Magothy River and Chesapeake Bay.  Rob and Kathy enjoyed their annual vacation to the beach where they were joined by many friends and family members.  Rob was a devoted Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles fan.

He is survived by his wife Kathy, his children Michael Eugene Holland and Kimberly Sue Hensley, his grandson, James Keith Hensley, his sister Ann Elizabeth "Liz" Simmons (Bob), brother Michael Scott Holland (Barbara), sister-in-law Jeanne Fryer (Burton), brother-in-law, Leonard "Lenny" Burton, many nieces and nephews and a full family of loving cousins.

Rob was preceded in death by his parents Bruce Bishop Holland and Ann Elliott Holland (Harris).

A graveside service for Rob will be held on Saturday September 28, 2024 at 11:00am at the Nethken Hill Methodist Church Cemetery, at the corner of Nethken Hill Road and Stullenbarger Road in Elk Garden, WV 26717.

Following the service there will be a luncheon at Liz & Bob Simmon's house, 600 I Street Mountain Lake Park, MD 215550.

There will also be a celebration of Rob's life in Maryland on Saturday October 19, 2024 from 1:00-4:00 pm at the Whitehurst Club & Marina, 360 White Cedar lane Severna Park MD, 21146.
