Ferguson

Robert "Bob" R. Ferguson of Davidsonville, died peacefully at Anne Arundel Medical Center on July 11, 2025, after battling cancer and Parkinson's disease. He was 78 years old.
Bob was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania to Raymond and Margaret Ferguson. He graduated from McKeesport Senior High School and attended Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky where he played football and graduated with a degree in Education. He then attended graduate school at Loyola University. He worked as a teacher, football coach, assistant athletic director, and school administrator for Anne Arundel County Public Schools until he retired.
Bob is survived by his wife, Margaret Ferguson, his daughters, Sarah Ferguson Spegel, and her husband, Bradley Spegel, of Gambrills, and Elizabeth Stephens, and her husband, Scott Stephens, and their two children, Jase and Bryce, of Davidsonville.
He was a member of the Annapolis Elks Club, and also served as the president, vice president, and administrator for the Association of Educational Leaders. He also served as the Treasurer for the Eastern Division of Train Collectors of America, and was a member of the Washington, Baltimore, and Annapolis Train Club, as he was an avid train collector.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3218 Harness Creek Road in Annapolis, MD from 4:00-7:00 pm on August 10, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in memory of his beloved rescue dogs, to K9 Lifesavers, 259 Thorny Point Road, Stafford VA, 22554.
