Robert F. Dexter, 84, a resident of Severna Park, died on May 27, 2010.
He was born on July 1, 1925 in Massachusetts.
He retired from the U.S. Army after 27 years of service in the Special Forces.
Mr. Dexter served in WWII, Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was awarded numerous awards and medals including the Bronze Star, V for Valor three oak leaf clusters.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Theresa Dexter; and children, Robert F. Dexter Jr. (Sandra) of WV, James Dexter of CA, Jean Rolland (Charles) of NC, and Jane Burger of NC; eleven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Family and friends may visit from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park. The interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery on September 7, 2010 at 1:00pm.
