IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert G.
Cozzolino
May 6, 1941 – July 1, 2017
USCG Captain (ret) Robert (Bob) Graves Cozzolino passed on Saturday July 1st, 2017 at the age of 76.
Bob is survived by the love of his life of 48 years Barbara, his loving son John and daughter-in-law Lisa, brothers Gerard (Rosemary) and Peter (Aila), his many nieces and nephews, cousin Mike, the whole Bradley "clan", his best friend Judge Robert Heller and Ms. Cricket. Bob is preceded in death by his father Dr. Eugene Cozzolino, his mother Barbara Graves Cozzolino, his grandmother Baa, and his long time friend and comrade at arms Captain (ret) Robert Yuhas.
Bob was born May 1941 in New Haven CT, graduated from St. Johns College in Annapolis MD and received his Master's Degree from the Naval Postgraduate College in Monterey CA. Bob was a career officer with the US Coast Guard spanning 27 years and the recipient of numerous awards, citations and medals. He loved serving his country, the Coast Guard and all the "Coasties" friends he made through his travels. Semper Paratus to the "shallow water sailors" he respected so much.
Bob met Barbara in spring of 1968 and they married in November of the same year. Bob and Barbara lived and loved with the best of them. His career often required relocating to new duty stations and his family traveled with him always enjoying the time and experiences.
Bob had many passions. A financial whiz, he was also a good golfer in his early days often playing with his father and brothers on a course they hand built on family land. In his later years he found a passion for tennis. He loved the game, his tennis buddies and camaraderie it provided.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Eugene and Robert Cozzolino Endowment Fund of St Johns' College 60 College Ave, Annapolis MD 21401.
