Robert (Bob) Anthony Byrnes passed away peacefully on May 10, 2016 in Easton, Maryland. He was 83 years of age.

Bob was born to the late Margaret and James Byrnes in Baltimore, Maryland on August 17, 1932.

A Korean War veteran, Bob worked for the Crown, Cork and Seal Company for 50 plus years. His career took him and his family from Maryland to New England, Philadelphia and back to Maryland where they remained until his retirement. His job enabled him to travel the world, Asia, Europe and the Middle East, where he met and befriended many people who remained in his life.

He is preceded in death by a son, Michael Shawn Byrnes and a daughter, Stacey Dee Byrnes. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Byrnes, 3 daughters, Linda Seitz Harris (Douglas), Mary Jane Ziegler, Tara Cordyack (Brian), and his son Robert Byrnes II; 2 sisters, Dolores Cornell and Mary Jane Warner (Jack). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held from 4-8 PM on Friday May 13, 2016 at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146. There will be a small service at 7:00 PM following the visitation. A private burial will be held the following day. The family asks that in lieu of flowers; please make donation to a kidney foundation of your choosing in Bob's name.
