Robert Edward Burns, Jr., "Bob," 70, of Severna Park, passed away on May 21, 2026, due to Melanoma. He was born in Fort Dix, New Jersey, on July 9, 1955, to Patsy Burns and the late Robert E. Burns. Bob attended Loyola High School in Towson Maryland and graduated from Towson University in 1977. On September 18, 1982, Bob married Maureen Burns. They were married for 43 years and raised their three sons while living in Severna Park. He worked for many years at Northrop Grumman. He loved coaching his sons' sports teams, spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, fishing, and traveling.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maureen, and their children, Matthew Burns (Megan), Dan Burns, and Gregory Burns (Lauren). Bob was the much-loved Grandpa to Blake (8) and Hayden (7). He is survived by his mother, Patsy Burns, and his seven siblings: Dianne Price (Chris), Linda Gambill (Lou), Mary Burns (Bob), Richard Burns (Carol), Andrew Burns (Audra), Kevin Burns (Vicky), and Stephen Burns (Margo), as well as many beloved sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Robert E. Burns, and his brother, Joseph Burns.

Bob's kind heart, zest for life, enduring love for his family, and the legacy he leaves behind will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Family and friends may visit on on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 2 - 4pm & 6 - 8pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146.

A memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 11am in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146.

Interment will be private.
