Robert Anthony Young who returned to his Heavenly home on May 1, 2019 was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, nephew, brother, cousin and friend to many.  He had a quick wit, dry sense of humor and never met a stranger.

Robert Anthony Young was born on April 23, 1941 to Theresa (Karwoski) Young and Harry Alfred Young, in Baltimore County, MD.  A graduate of Kenwood High School, he enlisted in the Navy shortly after graduation and proudly served on the USS Mauna Loa and USS Little Rock.

Robert was an avid waterman and hometown fan.  He passed his love of fishing, crabbing, and local sports teams on to his children.  He was also an active member of Severna Park United Methodist Church, and the MD Genealogy Society.

Robert is survived by his wife, Shirley Young, sons Robbie Young and Matthew Young, daughter Carrie (Young) Stone, daughter-in-law Jenni (Rosenberger) Young, son-in-law Michael Stone, three grandchildren, uncle Dan Karwoski, aunt Pat Karwoski, sisters Brenda (Young) Patacca and Linda (Young) Fillion, and brother-in-law Leo Patacca.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Barranco and Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 10:30 am at Severna Park United Methodist Church, 731 Benfield Rd, Severna Park, MD 21146 with a reception to follow in the church hall. The burial will take place on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 10:00 am at Maryland Veterans Cemetery Crownsville, 1122 Sunrise Beach Rd, Crownsville, MD 21032.
