Robert "Bob" Albert Meusel, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many, died unexpectedly at his home in Annapolis on June 22, 2016. He was 62 years old. Bob was born in Baltimore on December 11, 1953 and grew up in Arnold. He graduated from Severna Park High School in 1972 and studied percussion at Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore. He was a self-employed carpenter and owner of Landmark Construction, specializing in home remodeling. As a master carpenter, Bob loved working with wood and was able to transform it into works of beauty. He loved his family, music, the mountains, the ocean, and animals. He never missed an opportunity to play his drums. After retiring, Bob became a bus driver for local Severna Park Schools. His gentle nature, kind smile, and superb driving made him a favorite among the families and communities he served.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth Marie Meusel and daughter Erica Lynn Meusel, both of Annapolis and his sisters Jeanne Meusel of Woodbine, Carol Mackenzie of Pasadena, Patricia Price of Arnold, and Donna Sherwood of Arnold. He had 16 nieces and nephews, 12 great-nieces and nephews, many cousins, and friends from all walks of life. His parents, Albert Henry Meusel and Doris Violet Meusel of Arnold, predeceased him in 1972 and 2013.
A memorial service to celebrate Bob's life will be held on Saturday, July 2nd at Christ Lutheran Church, 8249 Jumpers Hole Road, Millersville, MD at 10 o'clock in the morning. Burial will be private. Arrangements have been made by Barranco and Sons Funeral Home in Severna Park.
In lieu of flowers, trees may be planted in Bob's memory on private land or through www.alivingtribute.org. Memorial donations may also be made to Christ Lutheran Church, Millersville, MD.
