He continued to support his fellow veterans, as well as POW and MIA organizations, through charitable donations for the remainder of his life.
Bob's experience as a soldier played a significant role in his life. He taught his children and grandchildren the importance of discipline, hard work, and service to others. He used the skills he learned in the military to continue protecting workers in his civilian roles. An avid outdoorsman, Bob loved hunting, fishing and sports. He shared this love with his family and many wonderful memories were made in the woods and at the range. Bob was an active member of his church prior to his illness. He cared greatly for people and would often reach out to help someone in need without even being asked. Though often behind the scenes, he lived out his oath to protect and serve.
