Richard "Dick" Seitz, 71, a longtime resident of Arnold, died March 8, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on November 6, 1941 in New Britain, Connecticut, where he was raised.
Dick served in the United States Air Force before moving to Maryland. He worked for the Smithsonian as Stationary Engineer where he eventually retired. He loved woodworking as was known as a master tinkerer who could fix anything.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Margaret Seitz; four children, Richard Seitz, Jr. (Jessica) of Millersville, Robert Seitz (Jill) of Cape St. Claire, Dawn Bain (Andy) of Arnold and Melissa Superczynski (Tom) of Arnold. Brother of Leonard Seitz (Pat) of Texas and Regina Walicki (Jerry) of Connecticut; he is survived by twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Family and friends may visit on Monday, March 11, 2013 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146. A Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
