Richard Perry
Richard D. "Rick" Perry, 73, a resident of Arnold for 23 years and previously of Severna Park, died May 9 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a brief illness.
Mr. Perry was born March 29, 1935, in Baltimore, where he was also raised.
He worked for 32 years as a field engineer for Westinghouse.
He served in the Coast Guard from 1953 to 1956.
Mr. Perry loved woodworking in his shop, working on his antique cars and doing yard work.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Betty A. Perry; three sons, Mike K. Mahrer of San Diego, Calif., Ricky Perry of Linthicum and Eddie Perry of Hanover; three daughters, Kimberly A. Spinelli of Glen Burnie, Laurie A. Ferguson of Denton and Laura Diegel of Severn; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
A memorial visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401.
