Richard N O'Donnel, 97, formerly of Severna Park, MD, passed away on November 26, 2024. Richard was born March 6, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of William N and Naomi O'Donnel. He was second oldest of seven siblings – predeceased by Naomi, Esther, William, Peggy and survived by Elaine and Susan.

Richard was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1945, saw service in Panama are returned home to Philadelphia and his job with Acme Markets as a meatcutter. Soon after he met Mary with whom he recently celebrated 75 years of marriage.

Richard is survived by his son – Rick O'Donnel Jr along with grandsons Brendan, Kealan and Liam and great-grandson Corbin.

Richard greatly enjoyed time with family and friends. Both he and Mary were avid campers traveling to and camping in many states and with extended time at Spring Gulch Campground in Lancaster PA.

There will be a service at 10:00am at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care,P.A. 495 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park, MD 21146 on Friday, December 6, 2024, followed by military service at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery. Please join the family for a lunch reception immediately following the Crownsville service.
