Murray, Richard William     Passed away April 2, 2014 after a long series of serious illnesses.

Born in Dayton Ohio on June 16, 1941 to Bill and Louise Murray. Graduated from the University of Ohio where he met Barbara Jean Wise, his wife of 45 years.  Richard brought his family from Cincinnati to Severna Park Maryland in 1976.

Richard (Dick) enjoyed playing tennis and sailing. An avid and accomplished golfer, Dick was a member of Sparrows Point Country Club. He enjoyed watching all sports and took pride in coaching and watching his sons and then later his grandchildren play a variety of sports.

Above anything else, Dick loved his family. He was generous with his love and advice. He was always a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Dick is survived by his three sons, Christopher William Murray, wife Samya and daughter Jameela who reside in Joppa; Jeffrey Charles Murray, wife Charlotte and son Andrew who reside in Baltimore; Michael Richard Murray, wife Theresa and sons Connor and Patrick who reside in Severna Park; and his sister-in-law Carolyn Wise Christensen and husband William Richard Christensen.

His family has requested that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 4-6 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park and on Monday, April 7, 2014 from 10:00 am-11:00 am, prior to service. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
