Richard John Heney, 95, of Annapolis, MD passed away on November 14, 2018.

Richard was born to Joseph and Eva Heney, on June 8th, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY. He was raised in Gerristan Beach, NY. He worked as an operating engineer and was a heavy equipment operator. He loved playing golf and his joy was music and singing.

Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ethel Heney, who passed away in 2012.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Janet Bielak (Stanley), of Annapolis, MD; his granddaughter, Christine Crabbs (Benjamin), of Arnold, MD; his two great-grandchildren, whom he loved a great deal, Nicholas and Alexander of Arnold, MD; and his older sister, Eleanor Murphy, of Long Island, NY, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial mass will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 10:30 am at Saint Andrew by the Bay Catholic Church, 701 College Pkwy, Annapolis, MD 21409. The interment will follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, 1122 Sunrise Beach Rd, Crownsville, MD 21032. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew by the Bay, 701 College Pkwy, Arnold, MD, 21409.
