Richard Patrick Furton, 50, a resident of Crofton, MD, passed away on May 3, 2017, at his residence.

He was born on February 18, 1967 in Cleveland, Ohio, raised in Severna Park, and graduated from Severna Park High School.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1987-1991.

Richard was a technician for Bayer Pharmaceuticals medical company.

His pastimes included fishing, golf, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his sister, Jan Plewes of St. Michaels, MD; his brothers, Ted Furton of Philadephia, PA, Bill Furton of Millersville, MD, Paul Furton of Severna Park, MD, and Gary Furton of Millersville, MD; and 18 nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, in Severna Park. Private funeral and interment.
