Richard John Fisher, 60, died of cancer Jan. 24 at his home in Millersville.
Born in Baltimore, Mr. Fisher spent a brief time of his childhood in Texas and then moved back to the Baltimore area. He was an independent contractor. For more than 40 years he provided a dry cleaning pick-up and delivery service, which covered communities in Anne Arundel and neighboring counties. He stopped working in January because of illness.
His interests included his family, helping others, carpentry, renovations and remodeling.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann Fisher, whom he married Oct. 18, 1997; five children, Michelle Watts of Pasadena, Kelly Schaffer and Michael Greer of Millersville, Richard Fisher
Richard Fisher of Glen Burnie and Matthew Greer of York, Pa.; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. A funeral Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Ave., Millersville, with burial in the church cemetery.
