Richard Louis Feffer, Sr. of Annapolis, MD and Boca Raton, FL passed away December 14 with his family at his side. Mr. Feffer, formerly of Stamford, CT and Bayside, NY was born May 25, 1934 in Flushing, New York to the late Louis and Harriet Feffer. He grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and Cleveland, Ohio and attended the U.S. Naval Academy as a member of the Class of 1957. He was later drafted into the U. S. Army.
Mr. Feffer is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Ada Marie. He was the proud father of Susan Llano and her husband, Robert of Arnold, MD; Richard Feffer, Jr. and his wife, Janet Gifford-Feffer of St. Charles, IL; Michael Feffer and his wife, Carline of Boalsburg, PA; Christine Sullivan, and her husband, William of Cambridge, VT, and Mark Feffer and his wife, Alice of Annapolis, MD. He is also survived by 12 loving grandchildren, Christine, Lee Ann, Robert and Matthew Llano; Carolyn and Richard Feffer; Megan Gifford; Danielle, Jacqueline, Michael, Nicholas and Joseph Feffer and his beloved canine companion, Holly.
He is also survived by his brother Edward A. Feffer of Aiken, SC.
Mr. Feffer was an avid sailor and a member of the Annapolis Harley Owners Group. During his lifetime he was also a private pilot and enjoyed scuba diving, and skiing among many other outdoor hobbies.
Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, December 17 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm and on Thursday, December 18 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park, MD.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, December 19 at 10 AM at St. Andrew By the Bay Catholic Church, 701 College Pkwy, Annapolis, MD. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Annapolis, MD.
