On June 5th, 2022, Rhonda Lee Kavanagh passed away at home in the company of her mother and daughter after a brave battle with colon cancer, at the age of 53. She was born on July 21st, 1968 in Detroit, MI and lived her life throughout various states and settled down in Maryland where she lived out the rest of her life.

Rhonda is predeceased by her two beloved sons, Eric M. Kavanagh and Patrick T. Kavanagh, and she is survived by her daughter Alanna Kavanagh and her mother Shirley Kerns.

Rhonda was a devoted and loving mother who had the biggest of hearts and a beautiful, magnetic personality to go with it. Above all she was kind, nurturing, generous, funny, and unafraid to be her unique and wonderful self. She would do absolutely anything for her family and close friends and showed tremendous strength through adversity and the many hardships in her life which included the loss of both of her sons. Her passions included a love for animals, hard rock music, good food, crafting works of art with her hands which included wire wrapping crystals plus other various artistic mediums, and she particularly enjoyed sharing these passions with others. She was a radiant soul who especially loved purple and butterflies and appreciated the subtleties of life. Her tremendous love for her family will exceptionally continue on and be carried by those she leaves behind.
