Renate E. Walls, 73, a longtime resident of Arnold, died at home on April 20, 2010.
She was born in Hamburg, Germany on June 26, 1936 and married Marvin Edgar Walls of Church Hill, MD on November 19, 1957 in Basle-City Switzerland. She became a naturalized citizen of the United States on February 10, 1959. Past residences include Darmstadt; Waco, TX; Denver, CO; Monterey, CA; Thailand; and for the past 29 years in Arnold, MD.
Raye attended the University of Maryland in Switzerland. She did volunteer work at the Navy Medical Facility at US Naval Academy. Raye lost her husband on October 27, 2003 and she remained in the Arnold area. She loved raising Standard Poodles.
A Memorial Service will be held on June 14th at 1:00 pm in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington. Family and friends are to meet at the Administration Building promptly at 12:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Hwy, Annapolis, MD 21401.
