Rebecca Mary Weeks Murashige, a long-time resident of Severna Park, MD, passed away on November 18, 2011.

Becky was born in Rochester, NY on August 28, 1951, the second of the three daughters of William and Mary Weeks. While attending Wittenberg University, she met her future husband Glenn Satoru Murashige. They married in 1974 and together jumped into the 20-year adventure of Glenn's career in the U.S. Navy.
Becky embraced life as a Navy wife. She moved six times (once, on her own, while she was pregnant with her second child and had her five-year old in tow), for tours of duty all along the mid-Atlantic coast as well as a tour abroad in Italy. Becky's love of entertaining and her culinary prowess created a family of friends in all the towns she called home. After raising her children, Becky became very involved in the Severna Park and Annapolis communities. She was a member of the Naval Academy Women's Club, the Naval Academy Chapel, the Naval Academy Garden Club, and the Presbyterian Women of Woods.

Becky is survived by her devoted husband of 37 years, daughter Amy Pickett and her husband Matt, son Jeff, and her sisters Gloria Barton and Wendy Coile and their families.

Family and friends are invited to the memorial service on Monday, November 28th, at 11:00am at the Naval Academy Chapel. Attendants are reminded to bring a photo id for admittance to the Naval Academy Yard.
