Rebecca Wilson Almes, 65, a resident of Arnold, died on April 21, 2010 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis.
She was born on February 17, 1945 in St. Pauls, NC, where she was raised. She attended University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She moved extensively due to her husband's military career and previously lived in the Severna Park/ Arnold area for over 22 years.
Mrs. Almes was an administrative manager for the Fort Meade Post Commander and was a member of the Officers Wives Club. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her late parents, John and Myrtle Wilson.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Edward Almes of Arnold; her daughters, Dawn Wright of San Diego, CA and Paige Reynolds of Richmond, VA; her son, Matthew Almes of Annapolis, MD; and four grandchildren, Emily, Kai, Caroline, and Alison.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 26, 2010 at 11am at the Argon Hills Chapel Center at Fort Meade. Interment will be private in St. Pauls, NC.
