Rebecca Loren Allender passed away on March 20, 2024. She passed away after a year and a half long illness, due to a brain tumor.

She was born on November 1, 1969 in Baltimore to her parents Jerry and Peggy Ditzel. She grew up in Severna Park, and attended Severna Park High School before earning her Bachelors degree at the University of West Florida and her Master of Business Administration degree at Loyola University in Maryland. She married her husband Judd on November 4, 2000 and they lived in Millersville for twenty years. She worked for Nokia as a business analyst/resource manager for twenty years and for Osmose Utilities as a Project Manager (PMP) for three years.

Becky enjoyed swimming, walking on the beach looking for seashells, and riding roller coasters with her son Kellen at the Pier or at Trimpers. She was an animal lover, including cats, dogs, horses and most of all bunny rabbits! Becky was also an avid reader, and a big fan of horse racing.

Becky is survived by her husband of 23 years, Judd Allender of Severna Park, her son Kellen Allender of Severna Park, and her mother Peggy Ditzel of Severna Park. She was preceded in death by her father Jerry Ditzel in 2009.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday April 27th at 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park MD, 21146 with a reception to follow.
