Raymond L. Morell, Sr., 68, of Cape Coral, FL died on June 27, 2010 of a lengthy illness at the Hospice of the Chesapeake Mandrin House.

He was born October 27, 1941 in Pittsburgh, PA. and he was a longtime resident of Severna Park and Pasadena.

Mr. Morell attended West Liberty College, where he received his Bachelors degree. He then attended West Virginia University and received his Masters. Mr. Morell then went on to be an instructor at Towson State College. He enjoyed boating on his boat, Scorpio, fishing, being with his children, reading books and Fantasy Football.

Survivors include his former wife, Sharon Morell, his daughter Samantha Morell (Christian), son, Raymond "J.R." Morell Jr. (Leah), a granddaughter Presley Ray Morell and a brother Anthony Morell of Pittsburgh.

A memorial service will be held at 5 pm on Wednesday, June 30, at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home. The family will continue to receive friends until 7 pm.
