Rayetta Marie Windsor, 67, a longtime resident of Severna Park for over 40 years, died October 9, 2008, at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, due to complications from diabetes after a lengthy illness.
She was born on February 16, 1941 in Annapolis, MD, and was raised in Pasadena, MD.
Miss Windsor taught at the Jacobsville Elementary School in Pasadena for 42 years, and retired in 2003, due to illness.
She was an active and long-time member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Severna Park, where she was a soloist and member of the choir. She was also a member of the Retired Teachers Association of Maryland.
Miss Windsor thoroughly enjoyed dancing, trips to the theater, crafts and her beloved pet goose.
She was preceded in death by her brother, John Charles Windsor, Sr. who died in 2004.
She was survived by her nephew, John Charles Windsor, Jr. of Baltimore, Maryland.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday, October 12, 2008 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Highway, in Severna Park, MD 21146.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park.
Interment will be in Loudon Park Cemetery in Baltimore, MD.
