On Saturday, June 30,2018 Ralph Wheeles, much beloved husband, father, grandfather, fisherman, computer scientist, world traveler and adventurer passed away after a brief battle with cancer at age 82 in Severna Park Maryland. Ralph who was born on May 21, 1936 in Delta, Alabama was the living embodiment of a "Life Well Lived."

He is survived by Carolyn Wheeles his loving wife of 62 years and best friend, together they shared a life full of adventure, without fear, or regret. He is survived by his loving children Keith, Karen and Wayne.  He will also be forever remembered by his six beautiful grandchildren, extended family and dear friends.

Ralph enlisted in the Air Force and attended school at Keesler Air Force in Biloxi Mississippi. He served a tour overseas in Japan before returning to the United States and transitioning to a Federal Civilian Service job. He served and protected this great nation for close to 40 years in the Air Force and as a government employee. From modest beginnings in Alabama, Ralph visited over 20 countries during his lifetime.

A Celebration of Ralph' s life will be held at 2 pm, on Tuesday, July 3, at the Barranco & Sons P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway Severna Park, Maryland 21146, with Reverend Ken McDonald officiating beginning at 3 pm.  Graveside service afterwards will be private, family only.
