Peter C. Sargent, 61, of Severna Park, died of cancer Nov. 15 in the Hospice Unit at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born Oct. 10, 1945, in Greenfield, Mass., and the son of the late Ralph and Marjorie Sargent, Mr. Sargent graduated from Mount Hermon Academy in Northfield, Mass., and Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. He was stationed by the Air Force in Germany.
He was president of Pre-Val Specialist Inc., a consulting network company in Severna Park. He formerly worked for the Internal Revenue Service, CoAct and the National Security Agency.
His interests included travel, antiques, sailing, wood working, golf and music.
Surviving are his wife, Ann Salus Sargent; one daughter, Heather Fogelman of Thor, Iowa; one sister, Betty Pyper of Vero Beach, Fla.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Lisa Sargent, and his brother, Ted Sargent.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Dec. 2 at the family residence in Severna Park. Burial is private. Arrangements are by Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home.
