Perry Evan Bartlett, Jr. passed away peacefully on July 13, 2022, at his home in Severna Park, MD.  The son of Perry Sr. and Mary (Farley) Bartlett, he was born on a small farm in Cookeville, Tennessee and was one of 14 siblings.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Audrey Bartlett, in 2020.

Perry spent most of his youth in Dayton, Ohio after his father decided to move there during WWII for better job opportunities.  He and Audrey met during their last year of high school and married shortly thereafter.  Perry then took advanced training in electronics and was ultimately recruited by Westinghouse Electric in Linthicum, Maryland.  His time in Maryland was cut short by a 2-year stint in the US Army where Perry served as an instructor in electronic systems.

Upon completing military service, Perry returned to Westinghouse where he worked on the fire control radar for the F-4 Phantom fighter.  He later helped build and install the Rendezvous Radar System on the Gemini spacecraft.

Upon retiring from Westinghouse, Perry and Audrey purchased and then managed a motel in Estes Park, Colorado.  They ultimately settled in Severna Park after retiring from the motel business.  Until recently, Perry served as the treasurer for his community condo association for many years.

Family was very important to Perry and he treasured his time with them.  Blessed with an incredible memory, he enjoyed reminiscing about the past and thoroughly loved catching up on the antics of his great-grandchildren.  He is survived by three siblings, two children, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The service and burial will be private.
