Penny Sue Hales, (nee Weaver), 69, of Glen Burnie, MD, died on July 4, 2016 of complications from a stroke at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
Penny was born on December 27, 1946 in Philippi, West Virginia to Charles Lee Weaver and Eleanor Jean Stalnaker Love. She graduated from Philippi High School and then moved to Baltimore, MD.
Penny worked as a Nanny and was a member of Chesapeake Community Center. Penny loved Jesus and the word of God. She helped people overcome addictions and led them to the Lord. She loved playing her guitar, singing praises to the Lord and reading the Bible Penny also loved and rescued animals.
She was the devoted wife of Bradley Hales, dear mother of Timothy Dean Cooper and Jackie Leroy Cooper, Jr., loving grandmother of Dean, Leah, Jackie J., Sierra, Becky and Jessica, and dear sister of Helen Jane Fischer, Carl Weaver, Karen Dean Lindsay, Shirley Hager, Rebecca Love, Elizabeth Kesling, Philip Love and the late Charles Lee Weaver, Jr.
Family and Friends may attend a visitation at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home on Friday, July 8, 2016, from 11am to 1pm with the funeral service at 1pm. Entombment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery Mausoleum.
