Margaret "Peggy" Schwartze, 85, a resident of Arnold for 60 years, died of emphysema Feb. 11 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a four-year illness.

Born April 22, 1920, Mrs. Schwartze was reared in Severna Park and attended Annapolis High School.

She worked for Masury Paint Co. in Baltimore as a bookkeeper.

She was also a homemaker and member of the Annapolis Yacht Club and Severna Park Elks. Her interests included boating, golf, playing cards, knitting and crocheting.

On Jan. 30, 1942, she married W. Graham Schwartze who died Oct. 27, 2000. She was the sister of the late Dorothy Lucke.

Surviving are one sister, Joan Ferris of Glen Burnie, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will follow in Parkwood Cemetery in Baltimore.
