Peggy Tindol Morgan, 73, a resident of Arnold since 1988 and formerly of Severna Park since 1977, died of cancer May 3 at home after a two-year illness.

Mrs. Morgan was born Aug. 10, 1933, in New Brockton, Ala., where she was reared. She was also a past resident of Chicago, Ohio and New Jersey.

During the 1950s, she worked at the Army Aviation School in Fort Rucker, Ala., as supervisor of Officer Student Records and earned two Department of Army Citations for outstanding performance of duty. Subsequently she was assigned to the Fifth Army Headquarters in Chicago, with a desk overlooking Lake Michigan.

In 1982, in her home's basement, she and her husband, James B. "Jim" Morgan, founded two companies, P.T. Morgan Packaging Company of Arnold, where she served as executive vice president, and P.T. Morgan Paper Company of Smyrna, Del., where she was both owner and president.

She was a member of the Chartwell Golf and Country Club in Severna Park since 1977, as well as a member of the Annapolis Yacht Club, New York Athletic Club, St. Mary's Catholic Church, and the West Point Societies of Annapolis and New York.

Her interests included traveling to Aruba, boating and West Point activities. She enjoyed many fall weekends there watching football games and tailgating as well as attending Naval Academy football games. She was known to have only missed one Army Navy game during her marriage.

In addition to her husband, whom she married on Dec. 1, 1962, in Enterprise, Ala., surviving are three daughters, Debbie Morgan Sanders of Troy, Ala., Cynthia Morgan Moss of Annapolis and Maianne Morgan Persico of Severna Park; two sisters, Jeanelle Plyler of Panama City Beach, Fla., and Faye Sawyer of Enterprise, Ala.; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park. A funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 109 Duke of Gloucester St. in Annapolis. Burial will follow in Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville.
