Pearl Elizabeth Sherman passed away on September 16, 2023.

Pearl was born on November 1, 1936 to her parents John Frank Taska and Frederica Louisa (nee Lohrmann) Taska in Baltimore, MD. She was raised in Catonsville, MD and attended Catonsville High School. She was raised Lutheran and her faith was very important to her. She was a member of Our Shepherd Lutheran Church. She lived in Baltimore, MD before settling in Severna Park with her family.

She was very involved with her church, including being an usher, a senior trip planner, banner maker, curriculum writer, librarian, choir member, and choir director. She was the full time church music director, part time choir director, as well as a piano teacher. Pearl sang with the Annapolis Chorale, she was an avid nature lover and bird watcher, she loved to garden, and most of all she loved to spend time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter Anne Pringle (Greg) of Severna Park, MD; her son Bill Sherman (Becky) of Berkeley Spring, WV; her granddaughters Jennifer Staub (Jimmy) of Finksburg, MD, and Melanie Hemmings (Patrick) of Marietta PA; her grandsons Devin Sherman (Leanne) of Westminster, MD, Michael A. Messick Jr. of Elkridge, MD; her great granddaughters Harper and Parker Staub of Finksburg, MD; and her great grandsons Harrison and Jameson Hemmings of Marietta, PA.

Pearl was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Sherman.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Robert E. Sherman Scholarship Fund c/o Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 400 Benfield Rd Severna Park MD, 21146.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 30th at 2pm at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 400 Benfield Rd Severna Park MD, 21146, with interment to follow.
