It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Paula L. Brown, 69, of Arnold, Maryland. She passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, June 8 th , 2018 after a battle with cancer that took her away from us much too soon. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Donovan (Don) Truluck and Hazel (Lorraine) Truluck.
She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Richard Brown, her 3 children, Andrew Bricker of Annapolis, MD, Robert Bricker of Annapolis, MD and Nicole Boarman and husband Tony of Pasadena, MD, 1 sister Donna Phipps and husband John, 1 brother Michael Truluck and wife Paulette, 5 grandchildren, Brian Bricker and wife Shannon, Frank Bricker and wife Shelby, Chase Boarman, Morgan Bricker and Kelsie Boarman, she was Aunt "Poo" to 1 niece, 4 nephews, and had many other great nieces and nephews.
She was born in Baltimore Maryland on June 6 th , 1949 and raised in Hampden. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints. She graduated from AACC with her Associates Degree and then went back to get re-certified as a Medical Assistant, which she was for many years prior. She has always enjoyed school and learning.
She was a teacher's assistant and substitute for the Anne Arundel Public School system for many years and then became a Medical Assistant at the Annapolis Naval Academy which she couldn't wait to get back to. She loved both jobs and made many friends there and always had many stories to share.
She loved spending time with her family and the closeness that we all shared, attending her grandchildren's activities, drinking her sweet tea, her white zin, DANCING and being the life of the party. When she was younger, she enjoyed playing racquet ball, tennis, golf, photography, developing film, boating, sewing and walking along the beach.
Friends may visit on Friday June 15, 2018 from 3-5:00pm and 7-9:00pm in the Barranco & Sons,P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. Services will be held on Saturday June 16, 2018 at 10:00am in the funeral home chapel.
A wake will be held after at the Broadneck Elks Lodge in Arnold for family and close friends. Interment will be held privately at the Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville on Monday, June 18
th
.
