Paul Elvin Young Sr. passed away on April 18, 2023 at his home in Severna Park.

He was born to Elvin Floyd Young and Mae ( neé Clark) Young on March 4, 1938 in Philadelphia PA.

He was raised in Havertown, PA and attended West Catholic school in Philadelphia and served in the United States Navy. He lived in Hershey PA before moving to Severna Park where he lived for 45 years.

He married the love of his life, Margaret Mary Young on November 11, 1961.

He was a n electrical engineer for Siemens, and after retirement he also worked as a crossing guard for Anne Arundel County schools. He also was a member of the S enior Olympic V olleyball T eam and an U sher at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elvin F. Young and Mae Young and sister, Bet t y Cho a te.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Mary Young; his sons Paul E. Young Jr. of Severna Park MD, Steven Young of Severna Park MD, David Young of Greensboro MD; his daughter Laura Maggio of Arnold MD; and six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, the Alzheimer's Association, and St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church.

A memorial mass will be held on Monday April 24th at 12pm at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Highway Severna Park MD 21146.

Private interment is scheduled for a later date.
