Paul Evans Wareheim, Jr., 87, of Baltimore, died on January 27, 2017 at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore.

Paul was born on September 18, 1929 in Baltimore, Maryland, where he was raised, and attended public schools and graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic in 1948. He resided at Charlestown Retirement Community, in Catonsville, Maryland, since 2006.

Paul served in the Maryland National Guard from 1950-1963 and retired as a Captain. Paul was a member of the 29 th Division Association, Larkspur Post 110, Pikesville, Maryland and The Order of Saint Barbara of the United States Field Artillery Association. He was also a member of Hunting Ridge Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder and Trustee.

He married the former Margaret Beauchamp in 1955.

Paul worked for his family's business Wareheim's Auto Service, as an auto repairman, and later for Wareheim Air Brakes, both in Baltimore, retiring in 1987.

He enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in sporting activities and taking family vacations.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Kathryn Wareheim (Kitch).

He is survived by his wife, Margaret B. (Marge) Wareheim of Catonsville; one son, Paul E. Wareheim, III and his wife, Jeanne M. Wareheim , both of Ellicott City; two grandchildren, Katie E. Wareheim and Matthew P. Wareheim, both of Ellicott City; and many friends.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Slack Funeral Home, 3871 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, MD. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Slack Funeral Home. Interment will be in Loudon Park Cemetery in Baltimore.
