Paul Trader

A funeral service for Paul Michael Trader, 23, of Annapolis, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Antioch Apostolic Church in Arnold, followed by burial in Bestgate Memorial Gardens on Bestgate Road. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway.

Mr. Trader died unexpectedly of heart failure May 27 at the home of his mother, Lou Ann Richards of Arnold.

Born May 23, 1984, in Baltimore, he was reared in Millersville, graduated in 2002 from Antioch Christian School in Arnold and received an associate's degree in 2005 from Anne Arundel Community College, where he was student body president for two years. He graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he received a bachelor of science degree this year and was class president in the Department of Medical Research Technology.

Mr. Trader was a member of Antioch Christian Church, Pathology Associates and the Bay Hills Golf Club. He was a Civil War and World War II re-enactment participant.

His interests included spending time with his daughter, Callie Michelle Trader, as well as playing golf, Bible study and talking with young people and friends about God.

In addition to his daughter and his mother, he is survived by his wife, Michele Mitchell Trader; his stepfather, Ronald Richards of Arnold; three sisters, Jennifer Dennis of Millersville, Elizabeth Johnson of Annapolis and Heidi Trader of Arnold; one brother, John Trader Jr. of Severna Park; and his grandparents, Henry T. and Mary Sims of Glen Burnie and Patricia Trader Burke of Edgewater.

His father, John K. Trader Sr., died in 2000.
