IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Paul L.
Rossi
November 27, 1952 – December 7, 2024
Paul Rossi, beloved husband, father, brother, and maritime professional, passed away suddenly on December 7, 2024. Born on November 27, 1952, Paul lived a life defined by integrity and devotion, marked by his deep love for family and the sea.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Susan, whom he married on July 10, 1977 in Newton, MA. He is also survived by his children, Chris (Verena) and Matthew (Mallory); and his brothers, Mark (Joan) and John (Tina).
A proud 1977 graduate with honors from the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, Paul dedicated his career to the maritime industry. His expertise and dedication earned him the respect of colleagues and peers alike. In December 1990, he earned his MBA from the University of Baltimore, further advancing his career. His final occupation was as a senior safety and health specialist in the Office of Maritime Enforcement at the Department of Labor's OSHA, where he worked tirelessly at mariner terminals and shipyards around the world to ensure the safety of the industry he cherished.
Paul's passions extended beyond his work. He loved the ocean, sailing, classic rock, and old movies, and was a true "old soul." A patriotic man who valued tradition and family, Paul's adventurous spirit and kind heart left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Since 1986, Paul and Susan were devoted members of the Parish of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Severna Park, where they nurtured their faith and community bonds.
Paul's legacy is one of love, devotion, and resilience. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
