Paul Marcus of Severna Park, MD, passed away on April 28, 2025 after a courageous battle with early-onset dementia. Paul was born in Manitowoc, WI, and it was there that he developed his love of nature. He lived in New York and Pennsylvania for a time, but eventually settled in Maryland which he loved for its diverse landscape. Paul married his wife, Jean, 39 years ago and together they raised two children, Jenna and Daniel. Paul was a jack of all trades and worked in many different fields. He was most passionate about the time he spent working in Oceanography and Cyber Security. Paul enjoyed many hobbies. He loved music, shooting pool, bowling, and hiking, but above all, he loved surf fishing and baking. His cakes and pies were enjoyed by many family members and friends. Paul is survived by his wife, Jean; daughter, Jenna; son, Daniel; son-in-law, Richard; granddaughter, Lila; sister, Chris; brother, Mike; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 5pm to 7pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church in Ellicott City at 1pm on May 31, 2025 followed by a repast for the immediate family.

Internment will occur at a later date.
