Paul Joseph Giorgio passed away on July 23, 2023 in his home in Grasonville, MD. He is survived by his loving wife Karen, his two daughters Paula Jackson and husband Nicholas, Erica Mann and husband Nathan, his two brothers  Louis Giorgio and wife Deborah and Albert Giorgio and wife Gina, and his 3 grandchildren Violet, Oliver and Emma.

Paul was born November 19, 1955 in Providence  Rhode Island to Dr. Albert Giorgio and Josephine Giorgio. He grew up in Rhode Island and eventually traveled to St. Louis, MO to attend Washington University where he received a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering.

He then devoted 45 years to Wireless Electrical Engineering starting at the Illinois Institute of Technology Research Institute (IITRI) in Annapolis, MD.  He stayed on when most of the Employees of IITRI bought most of IITRI and it was renamed Alion, an Employee owned company.  The Employees then sold Alion to Veritas, an Investment firm, who recently sold it to Huntington Ingalls Industries, now known as HII.  Paul worked in the Missions Systems Division as a Business Developer. He made many friends and connections throughout his years in the company and was a dedicated, thorough and dependable employee, friend and manager.

This work-ethic continued throughout other parts of his life as well. He thrived in routine and organization and could be seen meticulously maintaining his beautiful yard on the weekends, watching a round of golf, or making his signature peanut butter sandwich for lunch. He taught his family some valuable lessons in his uncomplicated way of life and strong work ethic.

He also loved playing golf and enjoyed a good game with his friends. He and his wife, Karen, enjoyed watching movies, tackling house projects together and traveling to Ocean City, MD every year with his whole family.

Family and friends may visit on Wednesday August 2, 2023 from 3:00pm-6:00pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care,P.A. 495 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park, MD 21146.  Services will be held on Thursday August 3, 2023 at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery 1911 Forest Drive, Annapolis, Md 21401.
