Paul Robert Eisler, April 8, 1920 to May 9, 2009. Born in Butler PA. Graduated from Pennsylvania State College in 1942 with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
Was in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946 and served as an Army Captain. While overseas Captain Eisler was the officer in charge of Airborne Radar maintenance and the installation section of the signal company serving the 15th AF.
1947, he became associated with the New York Technical Institute of Pittsburgh as a chief instructor of electronics. In 1948 he started a new corporation, Allegheny Television Inc. The corporation specialized in television, radio and air conditioning contracting. From 1957-1985 Mr. Eisler was employed at Westinghouse Electric Corporation. He was a project manager for weapons and defense systems. His responsibilities included designing ultra-high frequency radar for defense weapons and construct the Mark-48 torpedo. When he retired he was manager of the Under Water Missile Defense Systems Oceanic Division.
Along with his Late Wife Dee Eisler, Paul owned and operated Treasure Trove Antiques. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, boating and spending time with his two grandsons and family. He also was actively involved with the organization "Parents without Partners" and "Meals on Wheels". He was the beloved husband of the Late Dolores "Dee" Eisler, devoted father of William Eisler of Riva, MD, Robert Eisler of Annapolis, MD and the late Dennis Eisler. Loving grandfather of Dennis Eisler and Nicholas Eisler.
Services will be held at BARRANCO AND SONS P.A. SEVERNA PARK FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday 12pm.
