Paul Harry Beatty, 69, a resident of Annapolis died on June 1, 2011 at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, after a lengthy illness.
He was born on March 24, 1942 in Baltimore, MD, raised in Bowleys Quarters, and graduated from Mount St. Joseph High School and University of Baltimore. He previously lived in New Jersey and Severna Park for 17 years.
He retired as Senior Vice President of Human Resources with Chase Bank, Xerox International in Connecticut and Warner Lambert in New Jersey. After retirement he started a business, Beatty Appraisals.
He formerly served on the board of Mercy High School, Marian House, Goodwill and the Red Cross. He was an Alumnus of the Year for the University of Baltimore. He enjoyed being with his family, working and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Lee Beatty of Annapolis; three sons, George A. Beatty (Catherine) of Chambersburg, PA, Paul E. Beatty (Karen) of Silver Spring and Brian B. Beatty (Heidi) of Severna Park; one sister, Sr. Margaret Beatty, RSM of Savannah, GA and five grandchildren, Shaun, Rachel, Samantha, Jack and Noelle.
Family and friends may visit on Saturday, June 4, 2011 from 1-2 p.m. at Stella Maris, 2300 Dulaney Valley Road Timonium, MD 21093, with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 2 p.m. at Stella Maris. Internment will be private. Arrangements made by Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home.
