Patrick McCullough, 70, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Patrick was born on December 19, 1955, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late John and Dorothy McCullough. On November 23, 1985, he married the love of his life, Ann Marie. Together they built a life centered on love, partnership, and family, eventually making their home in Maryland where they raised their two children.

Curious by nature, Patrick loved learning and was an avid fan of National Geographic, always eager to share something new he had discovered. He was endlessly kind, quick with a dad joke, and the type of person who made everyone feel welcome. He had a remarkable ability to make people laugh, put them at ease, and make them feel genuinely cared for.

Patrick worked for many years as the MMP Plans Administrator, but those who knew him knew that his proudest accomplishment was being a husband, a dad, and a grandfather—nothing brought Patrick more joy than being “Pop Pop” to his four grandchildren. His unwavering love, goofiness, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Patrick is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Ann Marie McCullough; his son Mike McCullough (Samantha), his daughter, Melissa Van Tuyl (Matt); his cherished grandchildren, Brooks and Lennon Van Tuyl, and Pace and Paxton McCullough; his siblings, John McCullough (Amy Wilson), Dorothy Eidinger (John), and Cornelius McCullough (Gail); his sister-in-law Madeline Petrelli; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy McCullough, and his brother, Thomas McCullough.

Patrick’s legacy is one of kindness, humility, laughter, unconditional love, and quiet strength. His family will carry those gifts with them always.
