Patrick James Derry, 17, a six year resident of Severna Park, died suddenly on December 03, 2008 at home.

He was born on August 22, 1991 in Morgantown, WV, where he was raised prior to moving to Severna Park, MD. He was a student at Severna Park High School.

Patrick was a member of Boy Scout Troop 339. He enjoyed horseback riding, animals, video games, computers, and spending time with his friends. He also loved camping and annual beach trips with his family.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Allison M. Derry and grandfather, Regis A. Derry.

Survivors include his father, Anthony P. Derry of Mechanicsburg, PA; mother, Heidi F. Derry of Severna Park, MD; two brothers, William R. Derry and Thomas H. Derry, both of Severna Park, MD; sister, Jacquelin R. Dobbs of Morgantown, WV; grandfather Ramsey H. Frist of Morgantown, WV; grandmother, Judith F. Riutort of Newport News, VA; step grandfather, Al Riutort of Newport News, VA; and grandmother, Esther M. Derry of Pittsburg, PA.

Family and friends may visit on Monday, December 8 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Highway in Severna Park. A visitation will also be held at Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral, 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120 on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 from 9 am -1 pm, with a Blessing Service at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in All Saints Braddock Catholic Cemetery in Braddock Hills, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boy Scout Troop 339 C/O Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church, 611 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd, Severna Park, MD 21146.
