Patricia Ellen Phelan McKenna of Severna Park died at home on November 28, 2007.

Mrs. McKenna was born in Manhattan,NY where she attended St.Cecilia Elementary School and Cathedral High School. She worked in New York City as an executive secretary until her marriage in 1963 to Matthew J. McKenna after which she became a mother and home maker, initially living in Yonkers NY,then Chatham,N.J., Wheaton,IL,Champaign,IL before moving to Severna Park in 1975.

An avid golfer,she was a long time member of Chartwell C.C., was a member of the PEO Society, volunteered at local hospitals, loved traveling particularly internationally and enjoyed entertaining many friends and visitors from both overseas and the U.S. In recent years, Patricia enjoyed summers at her Lake Ontario home,spending many wonderful days with her children, grandchildren and extended family.

Survivors are her loving husband of 44 years Matthew J. McKenna, children Kevin McKenna(Patty)of LaGrange, IL,Mary Ellen Dickson (Brian) of Herndon,VA,Matthew McKenna(Jeanne)of Chicago,IL, eleven grandchildren, a sister Jane Larkin of Hampton Bays L.I., a brother William Doyle of New Fane,VT and was predeceased by a sister Katherine Casey and a brother Timothy Doyle.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church

Visitation was held on Saturday, December 01, 2007 from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 01, 2007 at 3:00 PM at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, Millersville. Burial was private.
