Patricia A. Kelly, 87, of Severna Park Maryland passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Brightview Assisted Living in Severna Park, Maryland.

She was born March 28, 1932 in Brooklyn, New York to the late William and Julia McCartin.  In her younger years, she received an academic scholarship to attend Bishop McDonnell high school in Brooklyn, New York and then attended a trade school to receive her secretarial degree.  After her graduation, she worked for several years at Paine Webber on Wall Street as an executive assistant.  She then met and married her beloved husband of 51 years, the late James J. Kelly, in New York where they had four children.  They later moved their young family to Severna Park, Maryland where they remained for the rest of their lives.

In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, dining out, and various community volunteer activities and was a long time member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians.

She is survived by her son Michael Kelly of Severna Park; daughters Tricia Kelly of Hanover, MD, Susan Thomas and her husband David of Brookeville, MD, and Maureen Salazar and her husband John of Arnold, MD; and grandchildren Samantha Thomas and Ryan Salazar.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care,P.A  495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD  21146. A Mass of Christian burial will be Celebrated on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 10:30 AM at St John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD  21146.  Interment Services will be held Monday November 4, 2019 at 10:00am at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, MD  21032.
