Patricia M. Hook

(October 21, 1932 – July 2, 2017)

Patricia Maureen Hook, 84, a long-time resident of Severna Park, passed away on July 2, 2017 at Fairfield Nursing & Rehab Center.

Born October 21, 1932 in DC to the late Albert and Gladys Wise, she was an only child, raised in Arlington, VA.  Patricia was widow to the late Franklyn W. Hook.  She graduated from Georgetown University School of Nursing in 1953.  Her career as a registered Nurse included working at Arlington Hospital in VA, Prince George's Hospital in MD, Anne Arundel Hospital on Franklin Street in Annapolis, MD, and Director of Nursing at Woods Adult Day Care Center in Severna Park, MD.  After retiring, she volunteered at the Senior Center in Glen Burnie, MD where she took vital signs for seniors and helped the sister parish to Saint Andrew by the Bay, in Baltimore, with their after school program for neighborhood kids.

Patricia was a long-time core member of Pilgrim Community based in Cape St. Claire.  She was a long-time member of Saint Andrew by the Bay in Arnold and was a member of:  the Peace & Justice Committee, Bible study group and taught Sunday school.  More recently, Patricia was a member of LWHMI (Living Water Inclusive Catholic Community) based in Catonsville.  She enjoyed spending time with family & friends, sailing, traveling, reading, book club and small faith group.

She is survived by her four children: Charles Hook of Havre De Grace, Maryland, Patricia Lichtfuss of Columbia, Maryland, Ann Jacobs of York, Pennsylvania, and Jean Klappenberger of Severna Park, Maryland: seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the:
